The City of Selma is one of Alabama’s most historic as well as one of its most haunted. Ghost hunters have discovered that the region has a lot of paranormal activity because of the region's Native American and Civil War history. Heritage Village is the site of several 1800s structures that were donated to the Selma-Dallas County Historic Preservation Society. The buildings include Calhoun Law Office, McKinnon-Riggs Doctor's Office, Siegel Servants' Quarters, and Pigeon Cote. The village also includes the Gillis House and Minnie Sue's Cottage, which are now private residences. The individuals living in the two homes on site say they have experienced many strange things from doors and objects moving on their own, to strange sounds and even full-blown apparitions!
