Join Riverside Iowa Paranormal “RIP” for a
paranormal investigation at 3 locations in one night!!!!

Investigate the Dillingham-Lewis House/Museum rich with documented paranormal experiences, the newly opened for pubic investigation Chicago/Alton Hotel, and the never before publicly investigated Chicago/Alton Train Depot.

Dillingham-Lewis House
101 SW 15th Street, Blue Springs, MO

Born in 1843, Morgan V. Dillingham served with Confederate forces in the Civil War and was wounded in battle. In 1906, Morgan Dillingham built the house with his wife Melvina. The house was unique in the sense that it was the only home built out of native limestone from the town. Mr. Dillingham operated a general store in the 1880’s and later went on to become Vice President of a local bank. He passed away in 1925.

The next owner of the house was non-other than Miss Narra Lewis; she was a world traveler and known for her parties and famous hatchet-swinging raid on a local saloon. She purchased the Dillingham home in 1928, three years after Morgans’ death. Miss Narra Lewis died in 1948; And in the Fall of 1949, Arthur Frank Cummins came to live in the home. He lived there until March of 1966 when he died of an unknown cause.

In 1977, the Historical Society of Blue Springs purchased the Dillingham-Lewis House to use and operate as their headquarters. The house today is a museum filled with period pieces that take you back into the early 1900’s.

Chicago/Alton Hotel

Built in 1878 by J.K. Parr, the Hotel is the oldest business building in Blue Springs, MO. In 1978, the Hotel, which originally served the railroad, was moved from its original site just south of Main by the tracks to its present location just west of the Dillingham-Lewis Museum on Main Street.

Chicago/Alton Train Depot

The original depot was constructed in 1879 and burned down in the early 1920's. The city asked the Chicago & Alton Railroad to rebuild the station. The reasons were several, specifically that the city back then was still an important transportation center for industry, travelers, and livestock. This is an important piece of history because it's the last one-story, wood, and stucco Chicago and Alton train depot still standing in the state.
